All About Diwali Puja

Diwali is one of the biggest festivals of our Indian Culture. Diwali brings joy and happiness to everyone's life. On the day of Diwali People Worship Goddess Lakshmi. Laxmi is the goddess of Wealth. People do Lakshmi Puja in the evening to invite Goddess Lakshmi at home. The members of the family sit together and they pray for peace, wealth and prosperity in their and their family member's life.

Clean your Home

Cleaning is very important. People start cleaning their homes before few days of Diwali. Clean every corner of your home properly so your home looks neat and clean. Once you cleaned your home sprinkle Gangajal to remove the negative energy from your home.

Make a Puja Platform

Take one red cloth and spread on table/stool and also take a handful of grain and put in the center. You have to do all the things in the puja room or living room in your home.

Bring Kalash

Did you put the grains at the center-right? Now Bring one Kalash filled with water and place in the middle of grains and also place one supari, one marigold flower, a coin, and some rice grains. Take 5 Mango leaves also and place it in the surrounding of the Kalash.

Idol of Goddess Laxmi and Lord Ganesha

Bring the idol of Goddess Laxmi and put it in the center along with the idol of Lord Ganesha on the right side of the Kalash. Once you put the idol in the proper direction, it's now time to bring small thali and make a small mini mountain of rice grains, shape a lotus flower with Haldi, if you have some coins with you then put it in one small bowl filled with milk and kumkum.

Put your Accounts Book on the puja table

Now the important point is to place your Khatavahi book (account books) and other business-related items in front of an idol.

Tilak

Do Tilak on the forehead of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesh and light diyas. Do tilak on each side of  Kalash also.

Flowers

Put some flowers in front of the idols and take some flowers in your hand for worship.

Mala (Garland)

Place the garland around the neck of the Goddess. Burn agarbatti and Dhoop in front of the idol.

Prashad

Take one small bowl and in that bowl put sweet and fruit to the goddess. Put some coins also.

Puja Mantra

Mantra is necessary, so once you take a flower in your hand for worship now join your hands and close your eyes. Chant the Diwali Puja mantra along with everyone. You can also chant Goddess Laxmi Mantra.

Lakshmi Aarti

Take a diya in a thali, take a small bell and perform the Lakshmi aarti.
